Uses and Basics of Rice Polishing Machines
What is rice polishing? The whole process of removing the bran powder on the surface of the milled or rubbed rice, the bran layer of the back groove, and smoothing the scratches on the surface of the rice grains to make the surface of the rice grains clean is called rice polishing. After the iron roller is removed, a small amount of bran powder, bran layer, and processing scratches remain on the surface of the rice grains, which is not conducive to long-term storage, and the visual feeling is general.
Atomized water polishing is the most commonly used method in the market. After the rice enters the polishing machine, the atomized water mist enters the polishing chamber with the airflow and mixes with the rice. After polishing, a layer of cuticle is formed on the surface of the rice grains, with good brightness, long shelf life and good-looking. The disadvantage is that the polishing process will produce about 1% broken rice, and a layer of starch layer will be lost on the surface of the rice grains.
Now the rice polishing machines on the market are mainly spray water polishing machines. According to the angle of the main shaft relative to the bearing surface, it can be divided into horizontal polishing machine and vertical polishing machine; according to the number of polishing rollers in a machine, it can be divided into single-roller polishing machine and double-roller polishing machine. The polishing roller of the horizontal polishing machine is longer, the longest one is two meters long, the movement polishing area per unit output is large, the single belt output is large, and the polishing effect is good. The vertical polishing machine is affected by factors such as manufacture, installation, maintenance, etc., the polishing roller is short, the movement polishing area per unit output is small, and the output of a single unit is small.
In the process of rice processing, the number of polishing machines can be adjusted according to the actual needs of customers. Usually, the cooperation of the polishing machine and the color sorter will make the color and appearance of the rice more beautiful. Such rice is often called high-grade rice.
